Dental Department

The Dental Department offers quality services beyond those provided by most Indian Health Service dental programs. Patients are custom-fitted for crowns, bridges and dentures. Orthodontic services are available. Contract dentists treat Head Start children in Nome and eight villages. We send toothbrushes and toothpaste to teachers in the region who allow students to brush at school. We use preventive sealants and topical fluorides and support municipal water fluoridation in villages to help prevent tooth decay
