2 COVID-19 Cases Identified on Sunday
Nome, Alaska –Norton Sound Health Corporation identified two COVID-19 cases on Sunday, August 21. One case was identified in Nome and the other was in Savoonga.
There are currently 18 active cases in the region: 12 in Nome, four in Savoonga, and one in each Unalakleet and Shishmaref.
Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations are available for children ages 6 months to 5 years old. To get your child vaccinated in Nome, please call Primary Care at (907) 443-3333 and request to schedule a “nurse-only” pediatric COVID-19 vaccination appointment. In regional villages, please contact your local clinic to schedule an appointment or be added to the waitlist.
