One Travel-Related Case Identified in Stebbins
Nome, Alaska – On July 26, Norton Sound Health Corporation identified one positive COVID-19 case in a resident of Stebbins. The case is travel-related. The patient is safely isolating, and all close contacts have been notified.
There are currently 11 active COVID-19 case in the region; 10 are in Nome and one is in Stebbins.
Starting today, July 27, NSHC will be offering COVID-19 screenings and vaccinations at the Liitfik Wellness and Training Center every Tuesday from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Beginning the first week of August, NSHC will be offering vaccines at the Wellness Bus, which will be parked at the AC in Nome every Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Additionally, vaccines will be available in the Nome post office from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday afternoon.
You can also visit the NSHC Pharmacy: walk in Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. Appointments are available Monday-Saturday at picktime.com/NSHC.
At the Nome airport, vaccines are still being offered to all incoming passengers 12 years and older.
